What it is
In plain words, before anything else.
Publishing prices makes you comparable. Being quotable is a step past that: software asks what a specific thing costs for a specific request, and gets back a price with terms and a way to accept it.
The difference matters wherever the price is not one flat number. Anything that varies by length, by add-on, by time of day or by how far you travel is a quote and not a list.
What it costs you
The loss you never see happen.
An agent that cannot get a quote cannot include you in a comparison, so you are absent rather than expensive. Absent never gets a second look.
Every business that quotes by phone is spending real time producing answers that could have been given instantly, to people who may not call back.
Check it yourself
Do not take our word for it. Look.
This takes about a minute, costs nothing, and needs no account with us or anybody else. A finding you have confirmed with your own eyes is the only kind worth acting on.
- 1
Take the last quote you gave by phone or email and ask what a machine would have needed to produce it.
- 2
Usually it is two or three facts you already have. That gap is the whole of this check.
What we found
Out of 186 businesses we checked ourselves.
- 186 of 186
could not give software a quote. One had something close and nothing an agent could act on.
Counted from our own checks of 186 real businesses, measured on 2026-09-10, one count per business. No business is named and none of their reports is public. The full write ups are in what we found.
How we fix it
What we do, and what we leave alone.
We publish your offers so an agent gets an instant answer with your terms attached, from rules you set. You are never quoted for something you did not agree to offer.
Where a job genuinely needs your eyes on it, the honest answer is a fast handoff to you, and that is what we publish instead of a made up number.

Reading a website is guessing. An interface is asking, and getting an answer that is not a guess.
