What it is
In plain words, before anything else.
Card checkout was designed around a person with hands. An agent buying for somebody cannot type a card number into a form, and it should not be asked to.
x402 is the open convention that fills that gap: a priced request over the web, paid and settled automatically, with the money landing in an account the business controls. It is early, it is real, and almost nobody has it.
What it costs you
The loss you never see happen.
When an agent is ready to buy and there is no door, the sale goes to a business that has one. There is no enquiry and no missed call.
The honest counterweight: agent purchasing is small today. This is a check about the next two years, not this afternoon, and we say so in the report rather than pretending otherwise.

We publish a priced endpoint for you that settles directly to an account only you control. We never hold, route or touch the money at any point, and we could not if we wanted to.
